WWE has a lot of detractors right now. Vince McMahon continues to run the company as he sees fit, but there is a growing number of fans who don’t like the way he is going about things. Triple H might totally agree with those negative sentiments too.
It has been said before that Vince McMahon sees his Superstars as his “real life action figures.” WWE has also been referred to as McMahon’s “toy box” on many occasions as well. This vernacular is very important to consider because it might be a mindset held backstage in WWE as well.
Viktor of The Ascension was recently asked when he will have a new action figure come out. This is not his call, but he picked some very interesting wording in his reply.
Should probably ask @Mattel and not me. I’m just a real life action figure
The Ascension had a fantastic run as NXT Tag Team Champions. Upon their main roster call-up, Vince McMahon repackaged them and made the team recite a script where they defamed The Road Warriors and Demolition. This did not go over well at all.
Since then both Konnor and Viktor have been rarely seen. They appeared on the Fashion Files in their best-known main roster roles, but haven’t seen much time in the ring on television.
Both Superstars are still around and waiting for Vince McMahon to decide he wants to see them on camera again. Maybe he McMahon will decide to pull them out of his toy box for another try, but until then both Superstars are simply “real life action figures.”
