Vince McMahon showed up on RAW this week and announced that the Wild Card Rule is now a thing. This means that 4 (or I guess more) Superstars can jump brands for one night only. However, you never know how they could bend those rules to fit their storyline logic down the line.

WWE’s television ratings have been awful recently and it is concerning to not only WWE, but the entire television industry. Therefore, something needed to be done. This is why Vince McMahon decided to shake things up with the Wild Card Rule.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that McMahon made the decision to nix the Corbin Kentucky house show after the ratings came in for the previous week.

As we previously reported McMahon generally gets a chance to take a closer look at the ratings on Thursday each week. This would make sense seeing how the announcement of the Corbin cancellation was made on Friday.

This Wild Card Rule will hopefully improve ratings, but it could also provide even more issues down the line.

It also might not be much of a surprise in some instances especially considering the fact that Roman Reigns has already been announced for at least one RAW taping well in advance.
