Lars Sullivan finally made his WWE main roster debut after months of waiting for The Freak to show up. He surprised a lot of people in the process by nailing a diving headbutt in his introductory assault to make his presence felt on the main roster. This upset some fans.

The diving headbutt is often thought of as a much too dangerous move in today’s wrestling world. It has caused injuries and far too many concussions. The move has also has created lasting problems for people who used it like in the cases of Daniel Bryan and Chris Benoit.

Sullivan stopped using that diving headbutt which made some people happy because they figured that WWE told him to stop doing it. That is not the case as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated.

Lars Sullivan has not been banned from using the diving head-butt, but the decision from the top is that he should only use it for special occasions.

It is a good thing that Sullivan won’t be diving off the top rope every week. A move like that needs to be only be for special occasions anyway. It still might have been nice if they could have figured out something else for him to do to get a big pop in a high spot situation.
