Brian Cage was injured during Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion pay-per-view. This was after taking a sick bump to the floor that a man his size shouldn’t have to take. It paid off because he won the Impact World Title, but he was still rushed to the hospital after the event was over.

Brian Cage said on Busted Open Radio that he suffered inflammation and a bone bruise from taking that bump off the apron last night at Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion pay-per-view.

Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Radio that the term he was given last night from a source in Impact said that “he was F’ed.” Cage went to the hospital and now it appears that television is going to be re-written or at least that was the word last night.

Brian Cage won the Impact World Title last night at Rebellion in a co-main event match. He chased that title for a long time before finally winning it and now it looks like an injury might cause him to drop the title.

Alvarez said that Cage is at the Impact Wrestling taping tonight, but he’s not going to be working. There is a chance that he could hold onto his title in hopes that he will heal up, but Brian Cage’s back isn’t feeling too good right now in the slightest.

This is a big shame because Impact Wrestling even made up merch for his title win.
