Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion pay-per-view delivered in many ways, especially the last half of the event. The conclusion was not the Impact World Title match where Brian Cage was injured and Big Mike Elgin made a surprising debut. Instead, the main event went to the Impact Tag Team Title match which saw LAX and The Lucha Bros tear the house down.

Dave Meltzer mentioned the conclusion for Impact’s Rebellion pay-per-view during Wrestling Observer Radio and discussed what could be next for Pentagon Jr. and Fenix.
“Nothing is done yet, but from what I’ve been hearing Fenix and Pentagon are soon going to be exclusive in the United States to AEW. I know that the deal that AEW and AAA were trying to make with Fenix and Pentagon was to get them under contract where they only work for AAA in Mexico and AEW in the United States.”
“So that would get them out of The Crash and CMLL and it would also mean Impact and also MLW. I know MLW was going with the idea that they’re finishing them up.”
The main event of the Impact Wrestling Rebellion pay-per-view ended with a “curtain call” in a manner of speaking. The Lucha Bros and LAX gathered in the ring and hugged it out before celebrating their accomplishments together.
Many members of the babyface side of the Impact Wrestling locker room soon joined them in the ring to continue the respectful conclusion to the event. It looked like a send-off to a lot of people which is apparently exactly what it could have been intended for.
