WWE is going through a transitional period backstage and it looks like a lot of the old guard could be moving out. With the recent exit of Arn Anderson, Road Dogg and more to come, Dean Malenko is the latest added to that list.

WWE has brought on Sonjay Dutt, Abyss, Shane Helms, and Jeff Jarrett in recent months as well. This has led to the backstage area being fairly crowded at times.

PW Insider reports that WWE has been swapping out a lot of the older producers for newer ones on the road. They are being “cycled on and off the road.” From the looks of it a lot of the more tenured producers are being replaced.

There has been a huge influx of new producers brought into the company over the last six months with many of the older producers being cycled on and off the road.  As I previously reported, there had been a fear among some that this was the start of some of the old guard being replaced.

We will have to wait and see as this situation develops. There are a lot of talented people in the pro wrestling world right now. On the same token there are also a few places where they can work as well.

WWE is obviously moving toward a different feel so we will have to just watch and determine when those slight changes in approach might be seen on television. Because in a lot of ways they might have already started going in a new direction.
