Dean Malenko Quits WWE After 8 Years With The Company

WWE’s backstage area is filled with veterans who can help mold Superstars and point them in the right direction. For the past 8 years Dean Malenko has worked backstage as a producer, but it looks like his time is done.

Sports Illustrated reports that Dean Malenko has left WWE. No other details regarding his departure are available at this time. Pro Wrestling Sheet was able to confirm Malenko’s departure with their own sources so he is really gone.

It was implied in the article from SI that Malenko would be a great backstage help in AEW. This is true, but only time will tell where Malenko ends up next.

At this time WWE has not confirmed Malenko’s release from the company.
