Sasha Banks’ status with WWE seems to be at a stalemate right now. She told the company that she wanted to quit at WrestleMania because she didn’t like their creative direction and then they gave her some time to figure things out.
Brad Shepard reported on Oh, You Didn’t Know that WWE does expect to have Banks back by the May 19th Money In The Bank pay-per-view event. In a rather surprising note, she also likely won’t be returning to the red team.
“Sasha is scheduled to return to SmackDown Live before Money In The Bank. Whether they have something for her or not is still not clear. If they don’t have something for her it’s still possible they could give her a bit more time to cool off.”
“I am told that Jason Jordan is working as a catalyst between her and the rest of WWE management. I’m also told she has too much beef to go back to RAW this soon.”
Only time will tell how WWE uses Sasha Banks, especially on SmackDown Live. She could be teamed back up with Bayley after The Hugger’s attempt to gain a #1 contender shot for Becky Lynch’s SmackDown Women’s Title was unsuccessful.
The important thing to note is that Banks is talking to WWE about coming back. It is apparently through Jason Jordan, but at least there seems to be a line of communication and a penciled in plan for where she will be. Because Banks reportedly burned a big bridge on RAW with her actions at WrestleMania.
