WWE’s flagship show is RAW so it needs to be taken very seriously when it comes to what is shown on television, but this week they seemed to have some big issues once again.
We previously reported that more WWE writers left the company. There seems to be a running theme of people getting irritated at Vince McMahon for changing his mind on a constant basis. This could very well have been the case last night.
Then again, the company also had to figure out what to do without Andrade, Aleister Black, and Zelina Vega because they had to move them back to SmackDown Live. Ricochet was the one who really ended up getting screwed out of the deal as well because they had to figure out how to use him on his own and he lost.
Bryan Alvarez tweeted out last night that the script for RAW finally finalizes with four minutes before they were scheduled to go live on the USA Network. If they had taken much longer they would have been writing the show as it went on.
A lot of fans immediately start to compare this kind of issue to WCW, but soon fans could just say “2019 WWE” instead soon enough. Because this seems to be an on-going issue.
They had two triple threat matches that fed into the main event. AJ Styles was standing tall at the end and then Seth Rollins came out to give his hometown fans one final pop before the show closed. If you want the entire RAW results please click here.
There were also several things that took up time on the show, but the biggest segment was that parade of champions which took up around twenty minutes of the show’s beginning. That opener probably didn’t do them any favors.
We will just have to wait when the ratings come out to see exactly how WWE’s planning and Vince McMahon’s fickle mindset hurt or helped the company.
