WWE has a lot of former champions traveling around the indie wrestling scene and one of them recently had to drop a very prestigious title.
Jazz is a two-time WWE Women’s Champion and she was the reigning NWA Women’s Champion as well. She was set to defend her title at the Crockett Cup on Saturday, but that defense is not happening now. Because Jazz has vacated the NWA Women’s Title.
The reasons for her dropping the title are not quite clear. It could have been due to any number of reasons, but until we know exactly why it is unfair to speculate. Hopefully, Jazz is not suffering from an injury.
The 45-year-old veteran has a very rough style and has been praised for her hard-knock offense, but she will not be taking on Allysin Kay as scheduled at the Crockett Cup.
Kay, who is better known as Sienna from Impact Wrestling will face a new yet-to-be-named opponent instead. This is very interesting as it ensures that a new NWA Women’s Champion will be crowned this Saturday.
We will keep you updated on this on-going story here at Ringside News if and when a reason for Jazz dropping the title is made more clear.
