John Cena Set To Host The Ellen Show Today

John Cena’s star power outside of WWE continues to grow, as the 16-time world champion prepares to guest host The Ellen Show later today.

Cena was last seen in a WWE ring at WrestleMania 35, when he returned as the Doctor of Thuganomics during a segment with Elias. The WWE Universe seemed to respond well to the return, but in truth, a lot of fans want to see him come back and have an actual match.

Despite what folks may say about him John is still one of the greatest of all time, and he deserves to be recognised as such. Of course, he’s a busy man these days, having turned into a part time performer – which is exactly what he went after Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson for all those years ago.

The Ellen Show is a pretty big deal over in the States, with her Instagram account having more than 70 million followers. It always seems to do pretty good ratings, so this should probably be seen as a big win for Big Match John.

In terms of his status with WWE, nobody really knows for sure one way or another. It seems like an appearance at the company’s upcoming Saudi Arabia show is a possibility, given that they always seem to go all out by bringing the big stars over for those overseas events.

Either way it should be fun to see what he can do when guest hosting The Ellen Show, and who knows – maybe this can lead to some kind of a permanent hosting role somewhere down the road.
