The WWE Superstar Shake-Up is likely to leave a lot of people on different brands, but it turns out that also includes titles.
Finn Balor was the first Superstar called over to a new brand during SmackDown’s night of the Superstar Shake-Up. Balor is current IC Champion and he had his title in tow.
It was made very clear on commentary that Balor was coming to the blue team as WWE Intercontinental Champion. This likely means that Samoa Joe will be moved over to Raw by the end of the week.
We previously reported that WWE plans on adding to the Raw brand later this week. Samoa Joe and the United States Title will likely be a part of that announcement. Joe was supposed to be on Raw last night, but he had the flu and he was reportedly too sick to function backstage.
Joe was slated to take part in a segment with Braun Strowman on Raw last night, but his illness caused them to nix the segment. Prior to his illness becoming an issue, Samoa Joe was slated to work an angle against Braun Strowman. This is also why the EC3 squash match segment took place with the Monster Among Men on Raw this week.
