AEW Possibly Signing Former Impact Wrestling Champion

Impact Wrestling is trying their best to regain momentum that they lost a long time ago. A talented roster isn’t enough now because there is a lot more buzz on other companies. Impact Wrestling released Eli Drake weeks before his contract was set to end, but there is a reason for that.

We previously reported that Impact is trying to stop Eli Drake from signing with any other company as they pursue a breach of contract claim on him. There could be a very good reason for that because the thinking is he’s bound to sign with another company soon enough.

PW Insider reports that after Eli Drake’s Impact Wrestling release those in the company believe that he is destined to wind up with AEW.

Some in the company believed Drake was AEW-bound.

We will have to wait and see where Eli Drake goes next. He has a lot of abilities and could benefit AEW in a substantial way. However, he will have to get over the possible hurdle that Impact Wrestling is placing in front of him with a breach of contract claim.
