Why WWE Nixed The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Segment

The Undertaker did not come out at the show of shows. Instead, he showed up on the RAW After WrestleMania. This was to finally confront Elias after The Drifter was talking so much trash about him.

Mike Johnson said on PW Insider Elite audio that Vince McMahon actually switched up The Dead Man’s Mania spot for the RAW after. The original plan was for Taker to interrupt Elias at Mania, but John Cena filled in as the Dr. Of Thuganomics.

“At one point there was talk that The Undertaker would be doing that segment with Elias at WrestleMania.”

The Dead Man made a return because he is slated to face The Drifter at the next Saudi Arabia show. Since Taker won’t be wrestling until then the decision was made to jump start that feud even though WWE had to reschedule their next trip to KSA.
