WWE’s move to Fox in October will likely see some very big changes for the blue brand. SmackDown Live could find themselves being three hours with a third hour being on FS1. Now Triple H is confirming another big show to come for WWE on the Fox family of channels on Tuesday nights.
The WWE’s COO confirmed to First Things First that WWE will have a weekly studio show on FS1. He did not hint at a host, but we heard rumors months ago that Daniel Cormier was being targeted to fill that position.
“To take people deeper into what goes on behind the scenes to being a WWE superstar… I can’t wait for this. If you’re a WWE fan, across the board, this is the show that will be a can’t miss.”
Triple H said this is something that he’s wanted to do for a long time and this seems like the perfect opportunity to get it done. It might be tricky to manage between the sports and entertainment aspect of WWE, but those growing pains might be expected anyway.
This show might further blur the line between shoot and kayfabe, or at least that seems to be the aim. Only time will tell if WWE will eventually nix this show or alter the realness a bit like they did with Talking Smack, but it will be a very interesting addition to WWE’s programming schedule.
