Jim Ross is no longer with WWE after his contract expired. This was a surprising move for WWE fans who grew up with Jim Ross providing commentary for some of the company’s most iconic moments. He won’t be out of work for long.

During a recent episode of Inside The Ropes, the WWE Hall Of Famer revealed that they are in the final stages of coming to terms on a contract with AEW. This means that Jim Ross will likely be taking part in their pay-per-view events and eventual television show.

“We’re trying to get all the I’s dotted and T’s crossed. Hopefully, my tenure will eventually lead me to AEW, who we’ve been negotiating with for quite some time. That’s my goal. Start to work there and be part of their presentation in May and in Vegas for Double or Nothing.”

Jim Ross’ voice has the ability to make people stop channel surfing when they hear it. His tone brings back memories for fans who remember him calling so many amazing moments in pro wrestling history. It looks like he will be on television again very soon. Now all we need is for AEW to announce a television deal.
