Dean Ambrose’s Current WWE Contract Status

Dean Ambrose is said to be leaving WWE when his current contract is up. This could deal a huge blow to WWE’s roster, but it seems that the company is preparing for it by simply not booking him except to lose.

Brad Shepard noted on Oh, You Didn’t Know that WWE is currently operating with the mindset that Ambrose is out the door. This is why he is being booked to get beaten down and lose every time he is around now.

Ambrose is also not booked for a WrestleMania match which doesn’t mean he will be totally absent from WWE’s biggest show of the year. However, his 8:00 AM signing at WrestleMania Axxess is a spot usually reserved for people that WWE has no plans for at the big event. For instance, Daniel Bryan had this same spot during his retirement phase.

The destination for Dean Ambrose post-WWE is not 100% clear. It has been previously noted that AEW will have interest in him so we will just have to see what happens in his situation.
