Kofi Kingston is on his way to WrestleMania and his New Day stable mates are extremely happy for him. However, you never know how long that will last.
Brad Shepard proposed during Oh, You Didn’t Know that we could be on the way to a big heat-seeking WrestleMania moment. Because if Kofi Kingston wins the WWE Title, it could set up the perfect opportunity for the New Day’s collapse at the show of shows.
“[Kofi] can’t get the job done on his own. He’s told that he’s a B plus player so what do they do? They have his partners — his partners actually get the opportunity for him and the only way that makes sense to me is if they turn on Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania or maybe the night after.”
“I don’t see any other way a story like that makes sense. It certainly doesn’t do Kofi Kingston any favors.”
The New Day might be headed toward a breakup. They had a great run in the process and found themselves in the record books as the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions after toppling Demolition (who strangely enough were involved in a lawsuit against WWE at the time).
Both Xavier Woods and Big E don’t have to turn on Kofi at Mania, but if either of them pulls a Seth Rollins and beats down Kingston after a possible WWE Title win don’t be too surprised.
