Survivor Series will be in Chicago this year and the show is not until November, but WWE needs to sell tickets. To promote the event, they have released a ton of names that will supposedly be at the show and a match they will compete in.
You never know what can happen in between now and Survivor Series. After all, Becky Lynch was slated for a Survivor Series match this year and then it needed to be changed on the Tuesday before the big show because Nia Jax destroyed The Man’s face.
To boost ticket sales, WWE is already announcing a huge five on five traditional Survivor Series match for the pay-per-view. Of course, this is an advertisement that is well in advance, but you never know how much of this could fit into WWE’s long-term booking plan (as if that exists in WWE).
That Traditional Survivor Series match is promoted to feature Team Raw vs Team SmackDown. Raw’s side will be Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley. The team representing SmackDown is said to be Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and Rey Mysterio.
With another Superstar Shake-Up coming in a matter of weeks (4 to be exact), this match is likely to change. Then again, it could also be a huge spoiler about WWE’s future plans. At least we have a better idea about who they will be pushing for the remainder of the year.
