You never know who will show up at an NXT house show, especially when the company has recently hired so many talented stars.
Robbie E, better known as Robert Strauss now signed with WWE’s NXT brand and officially arrived in at the WWE Performance Center just recently. It looks like they couldn’t wait to get him in the ring either because the former X-Division Champion made his in-ring debut at NXT’s Sanford house show on Thursday night — but he didn’t wrestle.
Strauss wore a suit and glasses to the ring and cut a promo while he managed Saurav Gurjar and Rinku Singh. He spoke about building a brand and acquiring elite athletes from all over the world which is very interesting. It seems like a new stable in NXT could be brewing with Strauss out in front.
This is a pretty exciting deal for Strauss as his career continues. It’s wild to think that if Vince Russo didn’t just happen to hear that he was from NJ that Robbie E’s Jersey Shore gimmick would have never happened, but that’s just how pro wrestling is.
Strauss recently competed in the Titan Games which was The Rock’s show. So WWE probably understood why he needed to wait a bit. Now that he is in NXT it will be very fun to see what he will be able to accomplish next.
