Jim Ross will not be remaining with WWE when his contract is up. The Hall Of Fame announcer will be taking off and seeking out other opportunities. He also noted that he wouldn’t be out of work long.

We previously reported that Jim Ross is set to sign with AEW. This huge contract could be the most he’s ever made in his career and he recently confirmed that these negotiations are a reality while on ESPN’s Outside The Lines. Although nothing has been signed yet.

I don’t know. We’re talking, we’re talking. I just haven’t signed anything yet. My people and their people are doing their thing. The only agent I grew up knowing was the State Farm agent in Oklahoma. So I got a real agent now, man! So they’re working on that, they’re working on it. I’m about to get into some voice-over work – I wouldn’t mind having a radio gig doing College Football.

This is incredibly hopeful news for fans who miss hearing Good ‘ole JR calling wrestling matches. It looks like we might just have Jim Ross around for All Elite Wrestling and he could provide a vital piece to their television puzzle. After all, he is already well aware of a majority of AEW stars already.
