Kurt Angle will wrestle his farewell match at WrestleMania, but we are likely going to get plenty of the Olympic Hero in the weeks leading up to the show of shows. We are going to find out who Angle will be wrestling in MetLife Stadium this Monday, or at least that is what WWE promoted. You never know what they will decide to do in the end.

It’s been speculated that Kurt Angle’s final match might be better served as a tag team encounter. That way he doesn’t have to carry the entire weight of a match on his own. John Cena hinted heavily about a match as well, but Dave Meltzer had an interesting idea on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE wouldn’t tease this match unless they have someone better for Angle and Cena.

“If you’re teasing that match then they both have to have — if they don’t do it, they have to have great opponents. I don’t know who’s out there for those two guys.”

Baron Corbin is still a viable option to face Kurt Angle because it would make sense in the storyline. Samoa Joe also has a long history with Kurt Angle as well, but he could also be a great opponent for John Cena.

At one time WWE planned to place Drew McIntyre against John Cena, but now McIntyre seems destined to face Roman Reigns.

Of course, none of this would be an issue if WWE’s original WrestleMania 35 plans for John Cena would have come to fruition with Lars Sullivan. Unofrtuantley, Sullivan had what was believed to be an anxiety attack and he hasn’t been seen since.
