Jim Ross will not be staying with WWE when his current contract is up. He made it very clear that there is no heat between the two sides and he just felt like he needed to move on.

During Ross’ announcement where he addressed his WWE departure, JR said that he wanted to make a return to commentary. Then it was reported that he will sign a multi-year deal with All Elite Wrestling.

Rajah reports that Jim Ross’ deal with AEW is a three-year contract. The fact that the new pro wrestling company is signing him on for three years at around $1 million a year is a very good sign that they have long-term plans for a television product as well.

We will have to wait and see what happens next, but there is a very good chance that the voice of AEW will be the same man who led the WWE Universe through much of the Attitude Era on commentary.
