WWE is in the middle of their biggest season of the year. The road to WrestleMania usually draws a ton of interest and spikes a ratings number. However, that has not been the case this year.

Becky Lynch is undeniably one of the hottest Superstars WWE has to offer right now. She is set for a huge WrestleMania match that is still scheduled to main even the show of shows. Charlotte Flair will be eventually inserted into that contest, but WWE has a good reason why.

Lynch has appeared on both RAW and SmackDown Live and she is slated to appear on RAW again tonight. All of this is going on in spite of her “suspension.” With The Man on both shows, it gives some fans hope that the brand split days might be coming to an end.

Ringside News has learned that WWE is booking Becky Lynch to appear on both brands in an attempt to draw interest. They need to pop a big rating going into WrestleMania. The fact that Lynch is in a WrestleMania match for the RAW Women’s Title is also a reason for her inclusion on both shows. The company is very interested in the idea of Lynch vs Stephanie McMahon at some point this year as well. Therefore, any interaction between them is only going to help build that rivalry.

With the company’s Fox deal starting in October, they have to be very careful because Fox has already stated that the blue brand on Friday nights is a “short term” plan. So ratings are starting to really matter in a big way as they really haven’t since the Monday Night War days.

Hopefully, this tactic will work. You never know what WWE might try next seeing how the idea of intergender wrestling was nixed.
