WWE Royal Rumble Axxess will include a WWE Network special Worlds Collide Tournament. The winner will get a shot at a title from any brand participating in the tournament from NXT, NXT UK, or 205 Live.
They already had to make a change to the event because they spoiled a 205 Live debut. Now they’re making another change.
Otis Dozovic of Heavy Machinery was previously in the tournament as an NXT Superstar. It’s interesting that he was announced for the tournament after Heavy Machinery was already slated for a main roster debut.
However, WWE felt like they needed to change that so they took Otis out. Now Shane Thorne is in the tournament instead. Thorne was recently left as a singles competitor after his TM-61 tag team partner Nick Miller requested his WWE release and it was granted.
In another very interesting note, Velveteen Dream is still in the Worlds Collide Tournament even after he refused to work anymore until they can come to an agreement. Of course, that was likely another social media work from Dream to get fans talking and it worked.
We will have to wait and see how the Worlds Collide Tournament turns out at Royal Rumble Axxess, but we will be providing special coverage here at Ringside News.
