WWE’s Royal Rumble is coming to Chase Field this Sunday and the venue is going all out for the event, especially on their menu. WWE likes to have plenty of surprises for fans during the big Royal Rumble matches which they have made into a tradition of sorts.

Mike Johnson discussed some big Royal Rumble surprises during PW Insider Elite audio that WWE could have up their sleeves for Sunday’s show in Phoenix.

“In regards to talent there’s a lot of Superstars who are ready to come back to the ring. Erick Rowan was backstage at SmackDown last night. Luke Harper is expected back any time.”

“I am told Tye Dillinger will be back on the road with the company starting this weekend in Phoenix with the Rumble and and the post-Rumble TVs so he could always come out as number 10 continuing on that thing that sort of deal that they’ve done the last couple of years.”

“Matt Hardy says he’s ready to come back and he’s in the great shape and the lightest he’s been in I think he said twenty years on Twitter.”

“Bray Wyatt hasn’t been seen on television one would think with WrestleMania coming perhaps you could mix him in.”

Johnson noted that if WWE could have Roman Reigns return at the Royal Rumble then that would be the biggest surprise that they could pull off. However, that isn’t likely to happen at this time.

Hopefully, someday sooner than later Roman Reigns will make his big WWE return, but he is still battling leukemia after only making his announcement in late October last year that he had to go home and focus on his health.

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view will still be as big of an event as WWE can make it and there are plenty of Superstars they could always call for a surprise.
