Alexa Bliss was featured in a segment last week on RAW where she had someone walk in on her while she was dressing. We only saw her bare back, but the internet still blew up. On that note, you can watch the segment here.
A lot of people thought that this was a sign of WWE going back to their old TV-14 days. The segment on SmackDown Live the next night seemed to really make people think that even more as Naomi and Mandy Rose battled in a hotel room.
However, Ryan Satin revealed on Wrestling Sheet Radio that the entire segment was actually Alexa Bliss’ idea because she wanted to pay tribute to a WWE Hall Of Famer.
“Okay, from what I’ve been told the segment was Alexa’s idea. It was an Alexa thing… she was trying to do a little bit of a tribute to Trish Stratus because it was something Trish Stratus did back in the day […] She’s a big Trish Stratus fan.”
“So from what I heard it was something she wanted to do. It was not a thing that was pushed on her.”
It’s nice to know that WWE didn’t have to have the awkward conversation of pitching this segment to Alexa Bliss. She apparently wanted to honor her hero Trish Stratus. We can only imagine that Stratus is paying attention.
