Three Superstars Removed from Royal Rumble Matches

WWE has removed Finn Balor and Sasha Banks from the 30-man and 30-woman Royal Rumble matches.

Obviously WWE removed these superstars because Balor is set to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, while Sasha Banks will challenge Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship.

Kalisto has also been removed from the men’s Rumble match, as he will be part of the Fatal 4 Way for the Cruiserweight Championship title.

There are now 18 open spots left for the women’s match and 12 open spots for the men’s match. We will keep you updated if additional names are announced for these matches.

The Royal Rumble event takes place on January 27 from Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.  As always, we will be providing live play-by-play coverage.
