Chris Jericho On All Elite Wrestling’s Interest In CM Punk

Chris Jericho made a lot of people pay attention to All Elite Wrestling and what Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks are doing in Jacksonville. However, there are also a few other people who fans would love to see join up with AEW as well.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Y2J was asked about CM Punk. Although Punk is now seemingly retired, Jericho remarked how much they would love to have the Second City Savior in AEW if he decided to make a return to pro wrestling

“CM Punk’s not so much of a free agent as a retired wrestler from what I understand and of course we’d love to have Punk come in there.”

Chris Jericho was also asked about Kenny Omega. Rumor is The Cleaner is on his way to AEW he just needs to wait until his contract with NJPW runs out first. Obviously, Y2J wouldn’t mind having another epic match with the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.

“Kenny, once I signed the last remaining huge free agent is Kenny Omega and Jericho and Omega were the two. Where’s he going to end up? I mean I hope it’s with AEW, I really do. I guess we’ll find out because his contract ends very quickly as well.”

You never know what can happen next in pro wrestling. However, AEW is going to be a pretty big deal with the kind of financial backing from the Khan Family. So you never know if they might be able to offer CM Punk enough money to change his mind.
