Becky Lynch is a former SmackDown Women’s Champion and she very well could reclaim her title on January 27th at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in Phoenix Arizona. However, WWE might need to be cautious about trusting her name to bring in a ton of numbers.

We previously reported that in spite of the fact that Becky Lynch seems to be very popular, her merchandise sales speak differently.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that SmackDown Live pulled in 2,032,000 viewers which is only a 2.8% drop from the previous week. However, in a time when things are supposed to be bouncing back when it comes to ratings, the blue brand needed that number to rise.

The main event of Lynch vs Charlotte Flair vs Carmella didn’t sustain an audience as WWE had hoped. It was said that although certain fans seem to be passionate about Becky Lynch, it might not be enough.

“Given the attendance and the rating, Lynch is in the category of someone who people cheer heavy that are already there but she’s not moving numbers.”

Becky Lynch is very driven to remain on top of WWE’s roster. However, you never know if WWE might see a trend in ratings that they don’t like. This could be why she is now reportedly sharing the WrestleMania main event with Charlotte Flair.
