WWE’s WrestleMania 35 event will take place in MetLife Stadium, but they will be doing it without The Elite. WWE tried to bring in The Young Bucks and offered them a lot of money and a too sweet deal, but All Elite Wrestling is the path they decided to go down instead.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that people in WWE saw it as “mind-boggling” that The Elite would turn down the WWE deals in front of them. It was said that it was actually hard to believe they would get an offer on that level, let alone the fact they were turning it down.

WWE reportedly had big storyline plans for The Elite as well. It is said that WWE was so confident that The Young Bucks were WWE-bound that Dave Meltzer was told that they would debut at the Royal Rumble. It is also said that The Elite “had a Rumble-to-Mania significant storyline.” Of course, we might never know what those plans were.

All Elite Wrestling will run full steam ahead at this juncture. Hopefully, it turns out that everyone involved made the right decision.
