All Elite Wrestling really exploded the Internet Wrestling Community with their Jacksonville rally. When all was said and done, they had created a lot of buzz, but it might not have translated on a mainstream level.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that neither the All Elite Wrestling Rally or Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks signing to the company ranked in top Google searches. It was noted that they did trend on Twitter, but that is a much easier statistic to pull off.

The amount of views that the Being The Elite YouTube Channel gained on a regular basis was around 149,000 to 322,000 in recent weeks. It was noted that this is not enough to sustain a major network pro wrestling show.

Although AEW could always surprise us, the fact that they didn’t trend on Google during the rally could be a telling sign. It could result in a promotion that has a lot of popularity with hardcore fans but not much with the general public.
