Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are both out of action as the longtime friends both needed double surgeries. Zayn needed his rotator cuffs worked on and Owens needed both knees fixed. Now they are out of action and recouperating.

As the two Canadians regain strength, WWE is promoting their return. They haven’t aired their video packages in a couple of weeks, but it was interesting to see their returns advertised on the night of Vince McMahon’s big announcement.

Bryan Alvarez discussed this on Wrestling Observer Live where he explained that neither man is expected back soon. WWE was merely trying to find as much as they could to promote in regards to a New Era.

“Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn they’re probably not going to be back until February I would guess, maybe they’ll be back a little early. But, when they were making all their announcements, that was just something else they could tell the fans. Change is coming, but it’s not like they’re coming back next week.”

We will have to wait and see when Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn return. They could come back as a team as they left us before their injuries. It won’t likely happen for a bit though because they are both still healing up.
