All Elite Wrestling made a bunch of big announcements on Tuesday during their Jacksonville Rally. There are still a lot more details to be determined about this new promotion including a wellness policy.

Dave Meltzer discussed on Wrestling Observer Radio that he wasn’t aware there is going to be any kind of wellness policy for AEW. He does know a lot about the upcoming promotion. In fact, he doubts that they will have a wellness policy to test for drugs because apparently, it’s not needed with their current roster.

“I’m not aware of that so that I don’t know. It’s funny because of the guys that they have. Most of those guys don’t even drink, you know what I mean? I actually don’t expect a wellness policy. I expect if they develop problems there would be. The road changes you, it hasn’t changed these guys. I haven’t heard word about it, but probably not.”

Things could always change and if AEW wants to present more of a serious sports setting a wellness policy might help. However, that is probably one of the last things they’re thinking about right now.
