New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 13 event was a pretty impressive night of wrestling and booking. Everyone who is on their way out of the company lost their matches, even Kenny Omega.

Omega made the announcement that he is leaving NJPW through Tokyo Sports. This is apparently exactly how New Japan found out about this as well which as Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio didn’t make them too happy at all.

“[Kenny Omega] can not say anything. He would like to say stuff, but he can not say anything. The New Japan office was upset because they found out in Tokyo Sports what’s going on as opposed to knowing what’s going on.”

It was said that New Japan is much happier with Kushida who told them in advance that he was taking another company’s offer. He is likely going to WWE, but Kenny Omega could be working for a much newer company run by his friends.

We will have to wait and see if Omega’s reported involvement in AEW could encourage NJPW to change their minds about working with them.
