Kenny Omega’s current status is a huge question at this point. We’re not sure what he’s going to do, but he is leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling. That is the only thing we know for sure.
There are rumors going around that Kenny Omega has rejected WWE’s offer and signed with All Elite Wrestling.
With The Elite’s rally tomorrow, you never know if rumors could be confirmed, but at this time we have heard nothing concrete regarding Kenny Omega’s contract status with either All Elite Wrestling or WWE.
Omega typically announces his intentions as he did last year on Wrestling Observer Live. He did not do that this year. Instead, his name is one that people are very interested in right now.
We have also heard nothing about creative control being offered to Omega because WWE can’t offer that. It would go against the entire foundation of WWE which is booked at his discretion.
So as of Monday, January 7th, 2019 Ringside News hasn’t heard a WWE offer was accepted or rejected by Kenny Omega and his status is still unconfirmed.
We also cannot confirm the extremely high price tag that WWE is said to have offered Omega, however, WWE has done everything they can to bring him in.
