CM Punk stepped away from professional wrestling, but he obviously pays attention to certain things. He apparently heard about the tragic car accident earlier in the day involving four independent wrestlers on their way home from a gig.
Puf, Kevin Bennett, Kevin Blackwood, and Daniel Garcia were involved in a terrible car accident and they need some help now. A GoFundMe has been set up for the four and CM Punk commented in support of it.
“I don’t know these guys, but @andycomplains does. If they’re friends of his, they’re friends of mine. Help if you can, spread the word if you cannot!”
It looks like these guys might have some very influential help. Hopefully, it helps them out. So far, they have about $7,535 of a $50,000 goal.
The GoFundme account provides the following information concerning this situation:
“On the night of Sunday, January 6th, the Buffalo Brothers (Nick Pufpaff, Kevin Bennett, Danny Garcia and Kevin Lockwood) were involved in a serious car accident driving back from doing what they love the most – wrestling. They’ve sustained several serious injuries including broken bones and head injuries.
The boys and their families would be extremely grateful for any financial assistance at this time. They’ve experienced severe trauma, both mentally and physically and will need help getting through this recovery process – which will include not being able to work for some time. All donations will go towards their rehab programs, including surgeries, physical therapy and medical equipment.”
Our best wishes goes out to everyone affected by this tragic event.
