The Road To WrestleMania officially starts at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view and WWE has a lot of decisions to make. They must decide a lot of things in advance and with so many things causing the company to change their direction recently that’s been hard to do.
Bryan Alvarez opened up on Wrestling Observer Live about what he has heard about WWE’s planning for the Royal Rumble event. It appears that much of the show is in place, but you never know if Vince McMahon will decide to change his mind once again.
“The Royal Rumble plans that we heard about in November-ish, I mean, those are already changing and over the next, I’d say probably two weeks we’re going to know a lot more about that.”
“That might play into changes at WrestleMania for the other title, so we shall see. I would say that right now nothing at this point is set in stone.”
“I was told this weekend that 80% of the Royal Rumble has been booked. There might be a couple of surprises in the Rumble match which is hardly news and we’ll see what happens as far as the top championship matches on that show.”
Only time will tell what WWE could be working on, but apparently, they have a majority of the Royal Rumble card figured out. Hopefully, the 20% that they have left to figure out isn’t an extremely important piece to the puzzle.
