You never know what can happen when you deal with indie wrestling. It can sometimes be like the Wild West when it comes to rules not being followed and some people like to make up their own rules.
Rebel recently had to send out a social media update to let her fans know that she recently had to deal with a very shady promoter. In fact, she had to cancel a date because of it.
“Florida Fans: you know I hate to do this, BUT you have been deceived and I won’t say anything negative but state the facts And YOU can make your own judgment. The following show that I was advertised on, I WILL NOT be at! We made a multiple show deal & the last 2 shows were a higher rate and he has cancelled the last show with no compensation & ONLY a 16 day notice! Leaving it almost impossible to book another show. I was warned about him doing talent wrong & I gave him the benefit of the doubt AND I got it in writing! But he still did not honor the deal and promoted me. I have just learned He has done this to 3 other female wrestlers! Unfortunately, when he sees this, he will probably say untrue things about me so I have provided proof of all I have written. Also, I have proof from one of the agents who helps him run the show & agented all my matches that they were happy with everything. I have said nothing bad, I have simply shown you how I was treated & how other women were treated so you can make your own opinion if you want to support that kind of behavior. “
This is a shame, but the pro wrestling business is full of shady characters. It’s just unfortunate that she had to cancel a date when fans were expecting to see her.
