Despite passing away back in 2016, Chyna remains one of the most active names being mentioned by fans and wrestlers alike for a potential induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
We reported yesterday that X-Pac had mentioned some of the highlights of Chyna’s career in celebration of her birthday, and added that she should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Now Chyna’s mother Jan LaQue has added her comments into the mix.
LaQue took to her Facebook account to thank everyone for the well wishes and reminded fans that WWE needs to do the right thing and put Chyna in the WWE Hall of Fame, as she did so much for women’s wrestling in a time where women were not taken seriously as competitors. LaQue had the following comments:
As many of you know, yesterday would have been Joanie’s (Chyna’s) birthday. I truly appreciate all of the messages and rememberances of her that were posted by so many of you. As you can imagine, it’s always a very sad day for me. But it helps a lot to know how many people remember her and loved her. It’s one of the worst things in the world to lose a child. We HAVE to get her into the WWE hall of fame. She richly deserves to be there.
WWE – LISTEN UP and do what’s right for Chyna!! You owe her that for what she did for you and women’s wrestling. She earned her place there. And it’s long overdue.
It remains to be seen whether WWE does ever add Chyna to the WWE Hall of Fame. For Chyna in particular, Triple H has said that he doesn’t want young and impressionable children googling Chyna’s name and finding adult content she has been involved in- though fans have said this was yet another attempt to justify an unjustifiable action.
