It has been confirmed that Ring of Honor Wrestling has officially signed international sensation Mark Haskins.
ROH have been making some serious moves over the course of the last few months, likely in response to the influx of signings WWE has been making – and the impending departure of Cody Rhodes & The Young Bucks likely hasn’t helped their cause.
Haskins is the latest man to join ROH on what seems like a permanent basis, and it’s a move that has been a long time coming. Many fans will know Mark for his work already in Progress Wrestling, but as well as that, he also had a stint with TNA.
At Progress’ Hello Wembley show back in September, Haskins was able to defeat Matt Riddle in what would prove to be his final independent match before making his way to NXT.
Haskins had initially been tipped as someone who could appear in the new NXT UK brand, but it appears as if those plans are no longer in the pipeline – at least for now. At the age of 30 he’s in the prime of his career, and it certainly seems as if he still has a great deal of potential and room to grow.
Haskins’ fast paced style even led to him earning an ROH World Championship against Jay Lethal during Ring of Honor’s tour of the United Kingdom earlier this year, and given how much momentum he’s built up for himself, there’s no reason to believe that he can’t reach those heights once again.
