WWE Mixed Match Challenge is in the second season of the series and the winners of this year’s tournament will get something pretty special. The winning team will not only receive a vacation, but they will also be placed into the coveted final entry spots in their respective Royal Rumble matches.
This is even more interesting considering the fact that the finals will take place at the WWE TLC event on December 16th. The only issue is that WWE has booked themselves into somewhat of a corner.
Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox will face Finn Balor & Bayley on the RAW side while The Miz & Asuka will face R-Truth & Carmella for the SmackDown Live brand in the semi-finals to determine who will be wrestling at WWE TLC in the final match.
If R-Truth & Carmella win over The Miz & Asuka, then that would take Asuka out of having to pull double duty on December 16th. The Empress Of Tomorrow is already booked to compete in a triple threat TLC match against Becky Lynch and Charlotte for the SmackDown Women’s Title.
On the other hand, Finn Balor is already booked to face Drew McIntyre at WWE TLC. Therefore, Balor and Bayley would need to lose their match to Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox in order to avoid Finn working twice in San Jose.
It will be interesting to see how WWE books the finals of the WWE MMC season two, but if they’re going to avoid having any kind of double duty situation then the finals will need to be Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox vs R-Truth & Carmella.
The Miz and Asuka’s team is already crumbling slightly as The Miz said that he doesn’t trust Asuka anymore and this caused her to give him a chop he won’t soon forget. Only time will tell what goes down between now and December 16th, but WWE might need to consider the fact that it’s not easy to work twice in the same night.
