WWE loves drawing heat in a situation, especially if it helps really get fans to hate someone. At this point, there doesn’t seem to be a more hated heel than Nia Jax, but it wasn’t necessarily by WWE’s design because fans are still upset at her for legitimately injuring Becky Lynch. Still, it almost happened in a perfect storm at a time when Nia Jax was already the #1 Contender for Ronda Rousey’s title.
Dave Meltzer discussed the match booked for Raw this week during Wrestling Observer Radio where fans will see Ronda Rousey and Natalya face Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka. He brought up the fact that while WWE did postpone Nattie’s heel turn on Rousey due to Jim Neidhart’s passing, they could be poised to act on that heel turn soon enough.

“Natalya at this point was supposed to turn on Ronda but they held it back because when Jim Neidhart died they figured that they shouldn’t turn Natalya, and agreed. They probably shouldn’t have turned Natalya at that time, that wouldn’t be good. But now I think they could do that and it’d be fine.”

Only time will tell if WWE will pull the trigger on Nattie’s heel turn. But at this point, it looks like Ronda Rousey could very well be stepping into TLC with one less friend. For all we know, WWE might book Nattie to turn on Rousey at the December 16th event and cause her to lose the Raw Women’s Championship.
WWE has two episodes of Raw to settle this thing out with Jax and Rousey before TLC. But you never know if Vince McMahon figures that Rousey might need another person to feud against, so Nattie might help out the heels. True, WWE already has far more heels than babyfaces, but at this point, Natalya might be a wild card in this situation.
