As we previously reported, Puerto Rican wrestler Cuervo was hospitalized after he was unknowingly hit in the back of the head with a concrete block that was thrown at him by Angel o Demonio during the Lucha Memes/Lucha Boom show.
Cuervo was forced to undergo surgery to remove a blood clot that had formed in his brain. While the injuries were serious and should have never happened, Cuervo was successful in his surgery.
As it pertains to Demonio, he was suspended indefinitely by the Boxing and Wrestling Commission of Mexico. The Commission is also seeking out answers on why the promotion allowed such a wrestling match to take place- as incidents such as these can result in both losses of life and lawsuits.
In the latest update to this case, we now know that Cuervo has been released from hospital following his surgery. He was released early Wednesday morning under the care and guidance of his manager, Victor Arroyo.
Vibrant Bates Sports on Facebook confirmed this news, showing two images of Cuervo in the hospital, and about to enter a car. Roughly translated to English, the page had the following message on Cuervo:

? : TO GOD THANK YOU
The Cuervo de Puerto Rico was discharged from the hospital. In the image, we can see him accompanied by his manager Víctor Arroyo and part of associated promoters of Mexico (PALL).
Thank you all for the prayers and good vibes.

It remains to be seen what does happen with the Commission, the promotion responsible for this incident, Demonio, and Cuervo himself. Ringside News will provide you with any further updates on the case. As for now, though, fans should seek comfort in knowing that Cuervo survived, and is all smiles moving forward.
What is your reaction to this incident? What punishment, if any, should Demonio receive above his indefinite suspension? Let us know your thoughts, opinions, and reactions in those comments below.
