Ember Moon had a lot of fans excited when she debuted on RAW, but she’s lucky to make it on the show anymore. She has been highlighted a little and given some chances to show what she can do. But overall, she’s still waiting for her push just like she did in NXT.
While speaking to Planeta Wrestling, Moon expressed the glass ceiling that she thought was in NXT, but now she’s on the main roster and performing as a person unrecognizable to the woman she was when starting her pro wrestling journey as Athena.
“I think for me personally it started on the independent scene where we kind of struggled and roughed it for a hot dog and a soda all the way up to when I got signed at NXT and I thought that was kinda like the glass ceiling for me. I was NXT Women’s Champion and then I got drafted to Monday Night Raw.”
“It’s crazy to see people posting photos of what I used to look like and what I look like now. I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ I don’t even recognize me from like 10-15 years ago. It’s crazy, it’s awesome. I take more risks now as you guys can see and I’m not afraid to.”
Moon said she would never change anything about her pro wrestling journey because it has made her into the performer she is today. She seems happy to be on the Raw roster, and while she might be waiting for that first big push, apparently, she’s been able to move out from under the supposed glass ceiling that was hanging over her.
