Braun Strowman was taken out of action this week on RAW after a brutal attack from a few heels including Baron Corbin. But Strowman needed elbow surgery which is scheduled for Monday and even though there is hope that he’ll be able to make it back by December 16th’s TLC pay-per-view WWE might be preparing for him not to make the show.
Bray Wyatt made his in-ring return at Starrcade last night where he wrestled Baron Corbin and then their match turned into a 6-man tag match which ended with Baron being pinned by Bray as well. This led Dave Meltzer to speculate on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE could be gearing up for a replacement.

“I don’t know if that means he’s going to be back at TV on Monday or not. But perhaps that means they may do an angle on Monday if Strowman can’t wrestle and Bray Wyatt comes back and wrestles Baron Corbin in San Jose, maybe? Who knows? But maybe [Wyatt] will be back on Monday, yeah.”

WWE likes to be able to know what’s going to happen and if there’s doubt that Strowman will make it back in time, this only stands to reason that Wyatt would be a great replacement. We’ll just have to wait and see how Braun Strowman’s surgery goes on Monday to get a real answer, however, WWE might not have that kind of time to wait.
