WWE has a very exciting brand with an NXT: UK roster full of amazing talents pulled from all over the place. Some of those wrestlers had to sacrifice other indie wrestling commitments to make a WWE contract happen and they must also abide to WWE’s strict policy of which indie shows they are allowed to work as well. But that gamble on signing with NXT: UK might pay off in a big way coming up soon.
It was reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there are plans right now to run NXT: UK TakeOver specials in 2019. At this point it’s not slated to be an “every few months” kind of thing like it is for the American NXT roster, but that plan could always change.
If you think that NXT TakeOver specials blow the main roster out of the water, it’s probably safe to say that the United Kingdom talent are prepared to impress even more. After all, they are viewed in many ways of being the bottom of the totem pole so any chance for them to perform at a higher level will probably be capitalized on in a big way.
Only time will tell if WrestleMania weekend will eventually include two TakeOver specials with one taking place in the UK, but it is certainly an interesting idea that could bring a lot of interest to the WWE Network, especially considering the caliber of ability each one of the NXT UK roster members possesses.
