Roman Reigns is always a hot topic of conversation. When he took to the ring a few weeks ago during RAW to announce he would be relinquishing the Universal Championship and focusing on his second fight with leukemia, fans and talent alike were stunned, shocked and dismayed.
With so many wishing “The Big Dog” the best in this fight- the hardest of his life, The Staples Center in Los Angeles has confirmed through WWE that they’ve donated $10, 000 to charity in honor of Reigns, given how pivotal he was in the business and what he, as a person, stands for.
The massive donation was in part brought on not only by the announcement Reigns made but also due to the fact that WWE is holding four nights worth of shows in that single arena. They held NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Survivor Series, RAW, and now SmackDown Live tonight.
WWE and The Staples Center gave Reigns the right to choose where the donation would go. Reigns chose to focus on Children’s Health Dallas. This was his way of saying thank you for the messages they sent him when he revealed his massive leukemia announcement.
The check was presented by Staples Center president Lee Zeidman to WWE COO Triple H and WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon before RAW and will be distributed to Children’s Health Dallas as soon as possible.
