NXT UK Superstar Declines Invitation To Face Cody Rhodes — He’s Still Upset With Him Over 2017 Promo

NXT UK Superstar Jordan Devlin recently replied to a poll asking who fans wanted to see face Cody Rhodes. He declined the offer right off the bat stating that he was still upset about a promo Cody cut at an OTT Wrestling event that ran over the allotted time.
Devlin double-downed on this comment by saying: “Mate, you could have gone for a three-course meal and a haircut while that promo was going on and still made it back.”
Cody responded to the controversy that he was unaware of at the time as he stated that he didn’t know that each segment had a hard-lined time that it needed to be wrapped up by, but he still apologized for any offense he might have accidentally caused.

“I was unaware we had times. The show was named after us & not dependent on ppv/cable guidelines. The first inkling I got of it was the referee asking me to “take it home”. I felt disrespected by that and didn’t want to short the fans. Apologies if it created issue for you.”

It’s a simple mistake to make when you’re in a place you’re not familiar with, especially when you’re considered a guest. But it was probably an honest mistake on Cody’s part and he just wanted to give the fans a good show. But you’d probably be hardpressed to convince Jordan Devlin of that.
