Shawn Michaels Said He Didn’t Work In The Ring At WWE Performance Center Before Crown Jewel

Shawn Michaels made his in-ring return at WWE Crown Jewel’s main even as he teams with Triple H to face The Undertaker and Kane. It was a match which saw Triple H tearing his pec during a Harley Race spot over the ropes to the floor that he’s done many times before. Then HBK was forced to work much of the match solo against The Brothers Of Destruction.
Shawn Michaels recently appeared on E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness where he was asked if he was able to get in the ring at the WWE Performance Center to work out a little bit before the big Saudi Arabia show. Surprisingly, Shawn said he didn’t have a chance to although he had every intention to do so.
“No, no and I had every intention of doing it but our schedules got so busy,” HBK replied. Edge and Christian both laughed at Michaels’ honesty but also at the fact that only he could take an 8-year break from the ring and come back to perform like he did at WWE Crown Jewel.
Christian shared a story about when he himself came back from a hiatus and Vince McMahon told him that only two people can come back and not miss a beat: Christian and Shawn Michaels.
So if you think HBK could have done better at WWE Crown Jewel, then just imagine how it could have been if he actually had a chance to get some of that significant ring rust off first.
